Ben’s Bowel Movements

ben and peteBen has supported a number of cancer charities since his own diagnosis in 2012. His wife Louise, who now works for Mummy’s Star, was 3 months pregnant at the time.

When he was given a terminal prognosis in 2013 he decided run the marathon he had been training for when he was diagnosed. He has now completed 24 Marathon distances (including 4 ultra marathons), an 11 day Epic Challenge that saw him climb and cycle between the National 3 Peaks, oh and a tough Mudder on the end! Whilst running he has continued to receive chemotherapy and is about to have his second Liver resection to remove a tumor.

Supporting other families going through a cancer diagnosis is really important to Ben. He wrote this when cycling through Scotland

I thought about the women and families the charity supports a lot during the ride. Such amazing Mum’s! You ladies, your babies and families inspired me to knuckle down when things were hard and the hills just never seemed to stop
