#CancerandPregnancy Awareness Week

#CancerandPregnancy Awareness Week

Every June Mummy’s Star co-ordinates #CancerandPregnancy Awareness Week around the UK and Ireland

This week provides us with the opportunity to reach new audiences and help raise awareness about the impact of a cancer diagnosis in pregnancy, post birth or where a cancer diagnosis tragically leads to the loss of a pregnancy or new born.

Our previous awareness weeks have seen a significant rise in the uptake of support and an increased awareness of how this situation can impact families.

Following on from this success we are now seeking to reach new audiences amongst both members of the public and health professionals with our 2018 ‘Cancer and Pregnancy Awareness Week’, running from 11-17 June.

This year our focus is on our Amazing Mums. We’ll visit 5 mums, in 5 days to see what impact cancer in pregnancy has had on their lives.

You can get involved with our awareness week in a number of ways, from tweeting and sharing our messages on Facebook, to creating an display in your place of work, to doing something star themed during to draw attention to the week.
