Business

Business

The support of the business community is vital to the success of Mummy’s Star. However, we recognise that it can’t be one-way and our aim is to work in partnership with our corporate supporters to the benefit of both parties.

In return for increased income and profile, supporting Mummy’s Star can help companies to enhance customer relations, build stronger staff teams and increase opportunities for good PR.

Employee fundraising & matched giving

Help build relations and boost morale by encouraging your employees to fundraise for Mummy’s Star in the workplace. ‘Dress Down’ days, Cake Sales and raffles are all cheap and easy to organise in a lunch hour or tea break. Or you could be more ambitious and challenge different departments to enter teams in a Quiz Night or hold a social event that brings staff and their families together? Consider supporting your staff in their efforts by matching what they raise. Please contact us for a Fundraising pack.

Charity of the year

Many companies find that their staff like to work together in support of a chosen charity where they can build a relationship and really make a significant impact on its work.  As the only charity in the UK supporting women diagnosed with cancer during pregnancy, Mummy’s Star aims to reach as many women facing this situation as possible. Over the year, your funds raised could support a specific project and Mummy’s Star can work with you to devise a package of support that suits your business and fulfills your company’s objectives. Choosing to support Mummy’s Star as your charity of the year, you will be able to see the real difference these funds make on individual women and their families.

Payroll giving

Payroll Giving schemes such as Give As You Earn provide an easy and cheap mechanism by which employees can donate to charity on a regular basis direct from their salary before tax. They are simple and inexpensive to set up and run and provide a considerable staff benefit.  Speak to your payroll department about how to set this up or contact us for more information.

Sponsorship

Mummy’s Star activities provide a number of sponsorship opportunities, giving you the chance to put your business name and logo in front of a variety of audiences, increasing your company’s profile and providing good PR. For Mummy’s Star it means that our fundraising costs are offset, allowing more of the money we raise to go towards projects that make a real difference to the families we support.

Gifts in kind

You can help Mummy’s Star offset core costs and devote more of its income to projects that benefit local cancer patients by donating gifts and services.

Employee volunteering

More and more companies are encouraging community volunteering amongst their staff by allowing them a certain number of paid hours per year to help in a local charity. Mummy’s Star can provide a number of volunteering opportunities for your staff, including helping out with events.

Cause Related Marketing

This is a great way to reach new markets whilst promoting the work of Mummy’s Star.  We can work with you to draw up a commercial partnership agreement whereby a percentage of income from particular product sales are donated to Mummy’s Star.

Spreading the word

One of the most valuable contributions companies can make is to spread the word about Mummy’s Star is and how it benefits women and their families to their employees, customers and suppliers. This can be done very easily and at no cost by placing Mummy’s Star collection boxes on counters, having Mummy’s Star leaflets in reception areas and circulating Mummy’s Star information in internal and external mailings.
