"In May 2024, our Director Ciara was diagnosed with pregnancy associated Breast Cancer nine months postpartum, aged 35. This unexpected news came as a huge shock for Ciara, her family and friends. Seeking support, Ciara turned to Mummy’s Star.

The charity extended their support by providing a considerate hamper filled with thoughtful goodies for both Ciara and baby Lily, offering comfort and a welcome surprised when she was undergoing chemotherapy. Regular check-ins and helpful resources were invaluable to Ciara during her treatment.

Now that Ciara has completed her active treatment, she is keen to give back to Mummy’s Star, ensuring they have the necessary support to continue helping pregnant and new mothers when faced with a cancer diagnosis."

"We have chosen Mummy’s Star to support with our fundraising efforts as recently we received heartbreaking news that our amazing colleague, Elz, has been diagnosed with advanced bowel cancer. The timing made it all the more difficult, as she was two months postpartum, replacing what should have been the newborn bubble with extensive chemotherapy, invasive surgery and uncertainty of what the future will hold.
Moved by her strength and determined to support others facing similar challenges, our team felt compelled to act in support of Mummy’ Star and the brilliant work they do.To this end we have upcoming fundraising events, bake sales, pot luck and golf days hoping to raise £50K - we know this is ambitious but any support for this worthy cause is greatly appreciated!"
