Fabulous Fundraising in 2023!

Our incredible supporters have outdone themselves this year

This year we've seen some incredible efforts made by our amazing families and supporters, to raise funds and awareness for Mummy's Star.
We love them all, and these are just a few highlights...

Snowdon & Ben Nevis Duo

Star Mum Purvi and her fantastic family climbed Ben Nevis and Snowdon mere weeks apart, raising an incredible £6000 for both Mummy's Star and the Benevolent Fund of the College of Optometrists and AOP.

Amazing Races Along with our amazing GNR Team, we had many supporters run half-marathons, marathons and even triathlons!

Star Mum Catherine completed the Veloforte Wales Marathon, and Star Mum Holly completed the Leicestershire 10K with her wonderful family.

We also had a number of runners take on the Endure 24 in various locations! 24 hours constant running is an incredible feat; congratulations all!

Dare to dive

Superstar midwives Nicole and Daisy completed a sky dive raising over £1000 for Mummy's Star and SANDS.

Fab Fitathon Local fitness club Glossop Military Fitness completed an awesome 24 hour Fitathon for Mummy's Star this summer. Not only did they bring the community together for some brilliant fitness sessions, they also raised over £7000!!

Brave the Shave

A Star Mum and her friend ran a breakfast quiz and other events with their local scout troupe, the highlight being both shaving their heads for sponsorship and raised over £1000 for Mummy's Star.

75 years young

Dad of a Star Mum, David P, ran around Richmond Park just before his 75th birthday. After sharing his daughter's story, his efforts raised over £4000!

Charity of the Year We've been supported for the whole of 2023 by some amazing organisations:

Holdan have hosted a number of fundraising events, including taking a team to the Manchester 10k!

Collingwood Bespoke Play have donated to Mummy's Star after each of their builds this year.

Start2Jog Glossop took a team to GNR and hosted a number of local running challenges, including a month of fancy dress runs in November.

We hope you'll join us sending a huge thank you to everyone who has raised funds for us this year. Their effort ensured that we were there to support over 160 mums, newly diagnosed with cancer in or around their pregnancy in 2023.
